Hi,

I have just bought the READ theme and love the demo so much.

However, having installed this theme and found that my website is totally different with your demo site. Could you please tell me why this happened?

Have you upload the xml file? What do you mean by totally different? Did you watch the steps in the documentation?

I think that you couldn’t upload the xml file successfully. Do you get any error message when you upload it? And also you chose the home alternate for the homepage. What do you want to do it exactly, so that i can help you. I recommend you to try upload it again and check again.

It’s strange that the correct form appears in the Archive page which It should appear in the home page rather than in the Archive page. Could you please help me to solve this problem?

Hi @ownbit,
You have a sample page. In the home page you have some content. Go to pages and edit your sample page and clear inside the content and save it. and also when you edit the page under “page attribute” you can see Template and choose homepage. And check this step for the archive page. I would recommend you to read the documentation again

Yes! Having carefully gone through the documentation and followed the instruction step by step, the theme was successfully installed, thank you so much!

Could you please tell me how to make the following tweaks?

1. How to remove the metadata (such as ‘post in Uncategorised’, etc) from the posts and leave only the date?

2 . How to move the menu to the bottom, and then put the footer “built with love and passion” below this, and then the copy right below this footer? All of them are centred. Like:

archives about contact

Build with love and passion
@copyright

Your help would be highly appreciated.

1=) I don’t recommend you to remove the metadata, instead of choose a category for each post.
But still if you want to remove it which will effect all your category section;

span.post-category { display: none; }

2=) Hi, sorry it is not available by default and it requires more time and effort to customization, if you are not familiar to coding you may consider hiring an expert at envato studio.

1=) Will it influence future theme update if it is customised? I would like to find someone to help me customise the theme but I want to do the update by myself in future as per your documentary instruction.

Regarding block quote, why there is no indented form? I don’t like the quotation form as It looks not neat.
