I got an email stating there was an update to this theme but when I click on the download-this-update link in the email it does not take me to the page where I can update the theme- it’s just a marketing scam apparently- an attempt to to lure people into buying their products by telling you have an update that doesn’t exist.
This is the last time I ever buy a Themeforest or Envato product.
I strongly urge any photographers out there to look elsewhere- there are vendors that don’t try these cheap scams.

Hi, theme update notification e-mails are sent by envato (not by pixelwars) and when you click to “Download this update” link it should take you to “Themeforest > Downloads” page so you can re-download the updated theme in that page. If you have been redirected to another page, it might be because of two reasons;

– your pc or browser is infected by malware
– or there was an issue in the e-mail send by envato

if you rule out #1, you may contact envato support and let them about this issue, because i don’t believe envato will send scam mails to the buyers.

Moot point. Theme has been deleted, moved on to the vastly superior Portfolio +:

Hi greg611,
WordPress mixes up the Photographer theme with another theme by the same name but from another creator. Re-installing the theme from themeforest, everything will work again. This same name issue fixed last year.

Hello. A relative question about the update : it’s not possible to update the theme directly in the WP admin ?
In the update page in admin it’s tell me there is no update to the theme, so I must delete the theme and install the new upload from envato, with all the risks of a major installation.
