Hi – just getting started configuring Efor – WordPress in general all very new to me!

I am trying to insert a video lightbox with an image used as the play button – however I cannot get the thumbnail for the custom image to display properly. I have created the image 300 x 300 pixels and select this size on the dropdown but it always cuts off the top and bottom of the image? I have tried regenerating this individual image but no success.

If I insert one of the images that came with the theme it works fine – I feel like I am missing some basic understanding of how WP deals with images – help :)
