Hi,
I am using TinyPNG plugin to optimize my images. It loads automatically all resized by WP images and compresses them.
However the trick is:
1. I have 7 physical jpg files stored on my server (including the original one)
http://timtaller.com/tmp/image2.png2. However in the WP media settings TinyPNG identifies 14 different sizes (based on the title of the image-type-sizes I believe this info is provided by the theme.
http://timtaller.com/tmp/image.pngCan you please investigate where those “NULL” type of images come from? Is it a bug?
Hi,
No, it is not a bug. This theme uses custom image sizes.
Thanks
Hi,
the plugin compresses images based on the types selected http://timtaller.com/tmp/image.png
I’d like to compress only images that are displayed at
1) Departments, e.g.: http://www.xchaus.com/department/personal-projects/
2) the gallery/portfolio page, e.g.: http://www.xchaus.com/portfolio/lifestyle/denis-portraits/I DO NOT want to optimize/compress images that is displayed when I click on photo from a gallery/portfolio, e.g.: http://www.xchaus.com/portfolio/lifestyle/denis-portraits/#&gid=1&pid=4.
please let me know what I should choose from http://timtaller.com/tmp/image.png in order to do that.
This is not a 3rd party plugin support – this is a clarification about the theme parameters.
Thanks
Select Full size from Theme Options > Portfolio > Full-size Image Resizing: No resizing.
Hi Mehmet,
that’s what I have already.
My question is different (I will try to explain again)
1) https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xchaus.com%2Fportfolio%2F&tab=desktop – thumbnails for departments are optimized (compressed)
2) https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xchaus.com%2Fdepartment%2Flifestyle%2F&tab=desktop – thumbs for portfolios are optimized (compressed)
3) https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xchaus.com%2Fportfolio%2Flifestyle%2Fmodel-lookbook-for-marina%2F&tab=desktop – thumbs for IMAGES in the PORTFOLIO are not optimized:
3.1) http://static.xchaus.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Marina_Fashion_La_Defense_France_2015_003-267×400.jpg (could save 49.5KiB (95% reduction).)So my question is about (3.1) – what checkbox do I need to use in http://timtaller.com/tmp/image.png to compress those images image_name-267×400.jpg?
Please note, that I do not want to compress originals.
I believe it should be fairly straightforward.
Thanks
“pixelwars_theme_image_size_nullx500” is being used for thumbs in the individual portfolio page.
