I just downloaded the updated Editor theme, and looked at your note on updating, but still have a question. I have a child them for Editor. Does this mean I can just replace my Editor (parent) theme folder contents with the contents from the updated editor-wp folder, and that’s it? If I have a child theme, I can just keep that theme activated and it will just pull from the new editor updated them without any loss of customization or content, correct?
I think that’s true, but I’m a bit nervous and just want to confirm.
Hi Brian,
The advantage that it will not be affected by future updates of the parent theme.

Thanks
Thanks for your reply–but I just want to confirm that, since I do have a child theme, all I have to do is replace the contents of editor-wp with the updated ones and otherwise don’t have to do anything, correct?
Hi, A child theme automatically inherits the parent theme’s features, styles, and templates. This allows you to make changes to your site using child themes without ever modifying the parent theme. When a new version of the parent theme arrives, you can safely update it as all your modifications are saved in the child theme. Your changes will remain untouched during the update, and you will not have to go through this lengthy process again.
