    Hi,

    I have published a YouTube video post and the media that shows up on the homepage isn’t a video in the thumbnail. If I select featured image in the post then that image shows up on the homepage and it appears at the top of the post on the post page instead of the video. How can I resolve this? Thanks.

    Hi, Do you choose format video for that post?
    First of all, you should add the video then you should write the description for the video.
    If you still struggle with the video post, please provide me the related URL.
    Thanks

    Hi Serkan,

    It still doesn’t seem to be working. I’m trying to amend this post: http://bit.ly/2cLV6Hd.

    Also, how can I remove the copy at the bottom of the post that says “(Visited 1 times, 1 visits today)”?

    Thanks

    Hi,
    Please try to use this plugin for featured video.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/featured-video-plus/
    And let me know when you did it. If there is any issue, I will give you custom css code.
    If you don’t want to use any plugin, you can choose regular blog type instead of grid.
    Go to plugins and edit Top 10 Settings and uncheck “Show number of views to non-admins” box.
    Thanks

    Hi Serkan,

    I uploaded and activated the plugin and now the featured video is placed oddly on the homepage – http://bit.ly/2cPLpHY. Perhaps the css would work.

    Thanks

    Hi, try this custom css code;

    .featured-video-plus.post-thumbnail {
        padding: 0;
    }

    Hi Ahmetsali,

    Thanks for your help. Where do I insert the CSS?

    ::UPDATE:: I installed a custom css plugin and just added the code there. It worked. Thanks!

    Hi,

    The video post now appears correctly on the home page but on the actual post page it now displays the video and featured image in the header (see here: http://bit.ly/2cLV6Hd). Is there a setting that I need to activate?

    Thanks

    Hi,
    You can try to use this custom css code;

    .single-format-video .post-thumbnail { display: none; }
    .single-format-video .featured-video-plus { display: block !important; }

    Thanks
