Where would be the best place to insert the below HTML subscription popup in the template for it to appear on an individual page?

Hi, it doesn’t seem like a valid html code or script, but for a script code, it would be a good idea to put it just before the closing tag of body element.

Bit confused – in what page do I find the tag of body element: index.php, header.php etc?

i thought you are asking for html version, for wp version paste the code to the Theme Options > Style > External CSS/JS box.
