Finally got around to installing this theme!

Just cant seem to get YT embeds working.

I’ve tried taking the URL from the embed code:

so https://www.youtube.com/embed/JVQMTl7yDc0 from the below

Ive also tried pasting in the whole embed code and url from the share option but nothing happens – just get a blank embed with ‘An Error has occurred. Please try later.

Do you want to add your YT video to the blog page or portfolio page?
Under the type box, you can see the url content box. Just paste your video code there. And choose lightbox video option and add a featured image.

yes its for a video portfolio item.

I’ve tried both and have had the following:

url = blank youtube

embed code – once the portfolio is updated / published, this disappears from the ‘type’ box.

I just tested it in our demo, you should use the video’s url. Example;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVQMTl7yDc0
Copy this video url and it will work for you.
The url which you copied was not the correct form. I just write down the correct form of the url.

Yep it now works – the shortened url doesnt work.

Is there anyway to force the video to play in 720p? Either as a Lightbox or within the post (iframe)

Ive added ?VQ=HD720 to the iframe but nothing happens.

Youtube is not allow to do that. There are plenty topic in youtube and google support forum. Also, forcing to watch it with 720p not a good idea who has low internet speed. It is coming up with automatic speed. So if you have a fast speed you can watch it with the best resolution.

also FYI a few urls had

&feature=youtu.be

after the youtube video id which caused the black screen but all is working fine now!
