The upload was complete and the install worked. But I still have no individual pages under the pages section. I’ve done a lot of customizing already on the site and don’t want to lose the changes.

All of them. I can use the theme customizer to make general changes but none of the pages show up under “Pages” so I can further edit them by adding my own content (photos, text, etc). For instance I’d like to edit the home page but I can only tweak it in the theme customizer, I can’t edit each page individually because it says I have no pages.
