I created api key and used it but still getting invalid key error. I went to console and noticed something. There is a “http://” word before my key in js file. its like : http://xxxxxxxapikeyxxxxxxx. I think thats the problem because there is a label that shows “js?key=http://xxxxxxxxmyapikeyxxxxxx.

note: no i did not write http:// before my api key when i type it to textbox under appearance > theme options > general > Google Map Api Key

if its not the problem and it should be like that then i wonder what is wrong with my google map. i used wordpress theme for quick and easy use of it.

Edit: I looked up https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key here and saw this example :

As you can see there is no “http://&#8221; before “YOUR_API_KEY”

My map is not working at all. So its not fine. Map leaves its place to an error message after load.
