I don’t believe this is particular to my site. I believe the same behavior would occur if you created a vanilla WordPress install and used the Editor theme.

Thanks serkan. Were captions something that you developed, or are they a native part of WordPress?

I’m able to add captions to insert images in the post, however shortcodes are not recognized in the caption text. So I’m trying to arrive at the root code for the caption text, so that I can parse shortcodes (e.g. via do_shortcode).

I see what you meant originally. When I add class="widget" to the ul tag, it works.

However, adding .page li ul, .page li ol { margin-bottom: 0; } does not work, probably because the formatting is not on a page, but a blog post. What is the proper class in order for the formatting to apply to all blog posts too?

It works!!! Very happy, Thank You :D One caveat: caption looks perfect on images that are “medium”, but when images are “large”, the caption width is too small. Is the [caption] shortcode a feature of WordPress, or a feature of Editor? I think it would be easiest if one could specify the width of the caption as an attribute for the shortcode…

In Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS, all I see is:
.post .entry-content > p {
line-height: 1.8;
font-size: 15px;
}
.wp-caption-text { max-width: 250px; }

I do not see the snippet of code you posted above. Is that something you added to one of the stylesheets directly?
