Hello,
I have read the Documentation > Portfolio section step by step.
I have done:
Create a page.
Select “Portfolio” template for the page from Page Attributes box in the editing screen of the page.
Publish the page.
Add this page to your custom menu from Appearance > Menus.
Where I get confused is:
“This page shows departments.”
Which page? I have gone back through all the pages, and departments do not “show” on any of the pages mentioned in any of the previous steps except the page where I made and named different departments.
The only place I have found them is in the portfolio ages again, they do show up on the right int he options, and they have check boxes, and I checked all the boxes – but then nothing happens.

I have read the documentation, I have searched the forum, and most of the topics have people that also seem confused, get pushed off to other previous topics, and many of the previous topics I have found are not clear and I am still confused.
Thus me asking for help. I would not ask for help if I had not already tried to read the forum and documentation.
Am I to assume the additional 6 months of support that I bought is going to be useless if when I ask for help the response from moderators is – please read other topics and figure it out from those yourself?

That related topic does not help me with setting up those. As the participant in that topic was also still confused before saying:
“its ok I have worked this out for myself…”
So that topic does not come to a solution.
Can you please offer help, a step by step solution, to setting this type of page up?
