Between the featured image and my profile is a large white gap.

Between my profile and the section ‘why are you here?’ is another large white gap.

I don’t know how to close this gap.

Bump.

I added the words, ‘We write so you dont have to’ to the description box.

On the website, this appears as the main header.

When I add something to the title box, nothing appears on the website.

So if not the title box, and not the description box, how can I add a subheader beneath the main words?

I can see how to change the width of the featured image in the appearance – customise – featured area – intro, but this changes the margin for the entire featured area (ie. my entire homepage)

I just want to change the width of my image. How can I do this please?

Ok, so I have added changed the image to Intro image.

However, I still can’t figure out how to:

1) make the image fill the entire width of the screen (without changing other margins elsewhere on the page)

2) stop the image from zooming in to the middle of the picture and cutting off the edge of the image (ie. most of the woman).

So the Link Box widget didn’t seem to work at all so instead, I have inserted an image to the featured area.

2 issues:

1) the image quality is impaired. I have uploaded a number of sizes (the current one is huge) but for some reason on the site the quality is impaired and it seems blurred. Why?

1) There is a white margin on the left and right of the image. How do I remove this?

I tried that but it left a white space where the sidebar was.

But not to worry – I found another solution. I set a category for all posts called ‘blog’ and then displayed this feed (www.XXXX.com/category/blog/ ) as my additional blog feed.

Thanks. I did this and it helped but didn’t do exactly what I need.

On the .com home page – I want to keep the sidebar next to my latest posts.

On the .com/blog page I do not want the sidebar next to my posts.

I set up a page for .com/blog and set it to ‘no sidebar’ but the sidebar still appears.

In Customizer: Appearance > Customize > Sidebar > Post Sidebar, if I set blog sidebar to yes it displays the sidebar on the both pages. If I set this to no, it removes it from both.

Any ideas please?

If fixed this- I set up two menus which were the same and applied one to the header and the other to the footer, before changing colours.

There might be another way to describe this:

When I go to the .com/blog url of my website none of the blog posts appears. They appear on the specific category feeds and on the home page, but not here.

If there appeared here I would have solved the problem. Please can you explain how to make each post appear on the .com/blog feed.
