    If you have custom CSS setup via the Jetpack plugin, navigate to: Appearance –> Edit CSS. Add the following code and save the stylesheet:

    .site-title { text-align: left; }

    Instead of using the built-in template for the contact page, you can use a third-party plugin like Contact Form 7. This will give you a little more control of the contact page without having to modify the core theme file(s).

    You can even go further by using WordPress SEO by Yoast, which allows you to customize page/post titles and descriptions.

    Make sure you select “All files & documentation” when downloading the theme. Otherwise, you’ll just download the theme for uploading to the server.

    If you navigate to Appearance–>Theme Options, click on the Blog tab. Do you have Excerpt set to yes? If not, set it to yes and save, then refresh the main page to see it take effect.

    When you’re creating a post, you should have a box showing called Excerpt. If it’s not displayed, go to the top-right of the screen when you’re writing the post, and look for Screen Options. Click that, and check the Excerpt box. Once that’s displayed, you can create your own excerpt here instead of having the theme do it automatically.

    Navigate to Appearance–>Menus. In the top-right of the screen, you should see Screen Options. Click on that and then look for Links in the ‘Show on screen’ section. If it’s not checked, go ahead and check it. You should know be able to create a menu item with a link.

    If you have any other Google Font plugins installed, make sure you disable them first.

    Weird; that’s the plugin I use for my site and the fonts I choose work. Sorry to hear you’re having problems!

    Alternatively, if you’d like to use Google Fonts, you can check out WP Google Fonts to set fonts without modifying the theme/css.

    It looks more like an error on WordPress end instead of the Read WP theme.

    You could modify the contact page file, but it’s just easier to install a plugin, or even use the Jetpack contact form on your About page.

    My site, a work in progress type site, with writings, musings, photos, links, and anything else I feel like adding. Eventually, I’ll publish my own writing works and this theme is perfect for that.
