Hi, When I check your related url, I see that the original of the photo is not rectangular. Some photographs are displayed as rectangles. So there is no mistake in the thumbnails. I would recommend you to upload a fresh copy of the featured image. Mostly, regenerate plugin is handling this request smoothly.

I could not check your related URL because of the maintenance mode.
1) Please check your image size. Min ideal dimensions is 760px X 507px
Under this dimension, resizing option is not working. Please try to upload a wider photo.
2) You should have about 40 pics minimum. So I would recommend you to use alternate homepage or other ones unless you have enough pictures then you can try to use photowall homepage.

You can make some posts as sticky and save it. Then, please go to Appearance > customize > widgets > blog featured area > choose slides sticky post and save it.
So only the post you specify will be seen on the slider. It will be out of the general blog flow. I will still notify the developer about it. Maybe an additional feature can be added.
