Readme theme being coded with WordPress based standards does not provide support to SVG image format. But as you said you are making it compatible with the plugin which is fine.
Also, because of this reason, it is not tested with theme usages like custom headers you may need to customize the theme.

Hi, Once you have uploaded the font, you need to load the font in your theme’s stylesheet using CSS3 @font-face rule like this:

@font-face {
    font-family: Isabella; 
    src: url(http://www.example.com/wp-content/themes/your-theme/fonts/Isabella.ttf); 
    font-weight: normal; 
}

Don’t forget to replace the font-family and URL with your own.
After that you can use that font anywhere in your theme’s stylesheet like this:

The theme is not supporting self-hosted video. Because using self-hosted video is not wise. Your server is suffering too much because of the band width. Instead of the self-hosted video, you can upload your video to Vimeo or youtube. If you get too many visitors and use self-hosted background video, the opening speed will be very slow.
